Now that a new season has approached it would also mean a change to your skincare routine to adapt to the change of weather. We would like to share our top tips to take care of your skin this autumn, let’s get the magic started:
- Exfoliate: it’s important to exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells; to gain a brighter and smoother complexion. For sensitive skin, we would recommend no more than once per week for exfoliation. For those with a normal skin type who don’t have too many difficulties with their skin twice a week is recommended. To exfoliate the skin lightly massage from the centre of the face outward. Also, avoid stretching, pushing or pressing down on the skin as this can sometimes cause damage or abrasions.
- More moisturiser: The new season can result to dry skin that looks and feels dull; to boost your skin hydration it would be ideal to apply a rich moisturiser for the day and night for that added TLC your skin needs. Although, it’s now Autumn you should still find a moisturiser with SPF; even though the sun is not out your skin can still be impacted by the UV rays when outside. We recommend LYF’s Rejuvenating moisturiser, which is rich in texture and packed with superfruit vitamins and antioxidants; even better SPF25! To find out more check out our shop page.
- Take care of you: Maintaining a good skincare routine goes beyond what you apply to skin, as it’s also important to take care of your health. As drinking, plenty of water and nutritious foods can prevent your skin from drying out. Search for essential fatty acids in your skincare a vital one to seek is vitamin E, as this ingredient will keep the skin plumped and hydrated.
