Winter Skincare Tips

by | Dec 1, 2019 | Cosmetics, Skincare

STEP 1:

Start the Morning washing your face with lukewarm water as it avoids stripping natural oils from your skin.

STEP 2:

If you’re currently using a gel/foaming cleanser you can update to a cream cleanser for the winter to ensure your skin gains moisture and is left feeling smooth and supple.

STEP 3:

Moisturise, Moisturise and moisturise your skin! Due to the change in weather, your skin will become dryer to the cold. We recommend LYF’s Rejuvenating Facial Moisturiser to boost your skin with superfruit extracts that provide beneficial properties for the skin and rejuvenating oils to quench your skin thirst. Protect your skin this winter your skin can still be exposed to UV rays LYF’S Rejuvenating facial moisturiser contains SPF 25! To find out more check out our product page.

STEP 4:

Moisturise your body using a rich body lotion containing Shea butter to moisturise your skin for longer. Essential oils in your body lotion are a priority this winter; the main essential oils to look out for are olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil and argan oil.

STEP 5:

It’s important to stay hydrated in the winter as well as any other season, as lack of hydration affects your skin health.  To keep you warm and toasty you can also try herbal teas to gain your intake of water. The amount of water you drink can also affect how dry your lips can be; therefore drinking a good amount of water can also keep your lips looking hydrated. We also recommend using a lip balm containing essentials oils to overcome dryness.

STEP 6:

Exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin cells that can build up this winter. Use a gentle exfoliator to prevent skin breakage and ensure all dead skin cells are removed, leaving the skin feeling soft and new.

STEP 7:

  1. Add a night time serum/oil to your skincare routine this winter to ensure your skin is fully hydrated overnight, apply before you moisturise your skin to allow the ingredients to absorb.
